From 138 W get to 138A (Aquidneck Ave.) in Middletown following signs for Newport Beaches. At the end, bear left at the light and go to the next light at first beach (Memorial Dr. and Purgatory Rd). Turn left at that light up Purgatory
From 138 E get into town off the bridge and onto America's Cup Ave, follow around past the start of the harbor to the intersection with Thames and Memorial, stay left and head up and over Memorial Dr. to the intersection at the end of First Beach and go up Purgatory Road.
Go up and over the hill. You will see the start of Second Beach when you turn right off Purgatory and bearing right go onto Sachuest Point Road and a parking lot but keep going, this is the surfer's end. Go to the next lot to park and walk to the far left corner to get to the kitesurfing end of the beach. Kiting is allowed in a restricted zone so ask the lifeguard how far left of their last stand you may kite. This is vital. The new rules for kiteing at 2nd beach are after 4pm during the summer months(its sucks we know) Advances kiters only.
Third Beach:
Follow directions for Second Beach on Sachuest Point Road. After the reservoir, turn left at the camp ground and follow signs to Third Beach. Bear left and park down at the main lot. No kitesurfing allowed during the summer months

Fogland:
Fogland Road, Tiverton: (CRMC designation public access) A right-of-way located at the end of Fogland Road, at the junction with High Hill Avenue, leads to an old concrete boat launching ramp on the Sakonnet River. The ramp is deteriorated but launching of kayaks is OK . There is no parking on the site but parking is available at the Tiverton Town Beach about one-quarter mile away. Kiteing after 4pm during the summer months.
Tiverton Town Beach at Fogland: (off season launch) (CRMC designation n/a) Directions from north, exit Rt 24/138 (Exit 6) and go south on Fish Rd. Turn right and go down to Rt 77 (this avoids slower roads thru Tiverton). After about 6 1/2 miles, come to Tiverton Four Corners (Gray's Ice Cream). Continue approx. 1 mile. and you will see Ferol Bink Farms. Turn Right onto Pond Bridge Rd. Go to end (stop sign). Jog left and right and follow the road to entrance to Fogland Beach.
